About KNA Plumbing

KNA Plumbing is myself Mike Patterson – Journeyman Plumber. I’d like to tell you a little more about myself and KNA Plumbing.

I was actually going to be a Phys. Ed. Instructor or at least I thought I was until my uncle Don got a hold of me one Easter Dinner about 15 years ago and told me all about plumbing and why I ought to consider the trade. I took what Uncle Don had to say seriously and here I am today – Journeyman Plumber, Business Owner & Employer.

My plumbing career started after I had completed my first year of school in the plumbing and pipe trades program at Camosun College. I started and finished my apprenticeship with a residential and new construction plumbing company in Sooke where I learned important things like attention to detail, ingenuity and critical thinking, customer service and pride in quality work. I then shifted my focus to large scale commercial work and spent my days for the next few years on 5 large condominium projects, a major hospital renovation, a private school addition, seniors housing and more.

Back when I was having that pivotal conversation with my Uncle Don, I wasn’t even married – fast forward to 2006 I was married, on my third home and had 2 beautiful daughters. I knew it was now time to take what I had learned all these years and launch my own business and thus KNA (Kaia n’ Ally) Plumbing & Gas was born.

I learned during my apprenticeship that hard work, honesty and customer service will result in a successful business and it has certainly worked for KNA. The majority of work today is still via referrals from satisfied and happy customers.

I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit more about KNA Plumbing and that you will trust that we are the right company for your all you plumbing needs.
